What is Groundwork?

Groundwork is when the company works underground adding any extra cables, or rerouting any existing circuits to provide your charging station with the power that it needs. Groundwork can be done out of hours to avoid disturbing your business at all. It can be the loudest and most disruptive part of the whole process.

Depending on the amount of work that is required, it may get finished in a few hours, or one night, but it could take longer. The length of time it will take depends on how many individual charging points you are needing installed, and the size of the company that you have employed to do the job. The groundwork and wiring work could include: building a new circuit in your building, modifying existing wiring, installing a new fuse box, modifying an existing fuse box. This all depends on what needs to be done. Once the groundwork is completed engineers will begin to install the charging points on your site.
